Kimberly began dancing at the age of five. Growing up in the San Fransisco Bay area, she trained and competed with several studios and dance programs. An acknowledged dance teacher and choreographer, she ran several dance programs at fitness clubs and schools. For over fifteen years, Kimberly was a teacher and choreographer in the bay area for many schools and academy’s performance and competitive dance teams. Now in her twenty fifth year as a dance teacher, Kimberly is proud that her students have won many awards, titles and scholarships to conventions, theater art programs and schools, most notably, The Julliard School, Northwestern University and in 2010, Miss Oregon Outstanding Teen. Since moving to Medford in 2002, Kimberly has brought her broad knowledge of dance to the Rogue Valley teaching and choreographing for Kids Unlimited and TMTO. She opened Fusion Dance Academy in 2011 and began directing the Fusion Force Dance team that same year. She is thrilled to be able to bring her style and expertise to this area and looks forward to teaching the amazing kids in this beautiful valley!

photo Lia Kirkpatrick, Fusion Force Co-Director

Lia fell in love with dance while watching dancers at a summer festival when she was two. Determined to be on stage, the next summer she was dancing for Thurston Dance Studio as part of the Young Entertainers. She continued classes in tap, ballet, jazz and musical theater with Thurston and Dance Arts Academy until high school, when competitive soccer required much more time. Dance took a back seat while playing soccer at South Medford and Chugiak High Schools and then for Southern Oregon University. Lia came back to her first love, dancing, while taking tap classes in college. Her oldest daughter, Abby, has been dancing for five years, three of them with Fusion. Lia began helping with classes in 2009 and is now co-director of the studio's competitive dance team as well as a choreographer for the studio. She also coaches a team for Rogue Valley Soccer Club. She is a middle school science and health teacher at St. Mary’s School in Medford, Oregon, where she has also coached the Women’s Varsity Soccer program and Middle School Cross Country. She loves being part of the Fusion family and sharing her love of dance and music with her two girls.

photo Lindsay Colegrove

Lindsay has many years of experience performing and teaching various styles of dance: tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, modern, swing, and theatrical to name a few…though, tap has always been her favorite. She has choreographed dances and productions all across the country, and is now very excited to join the Fusion Dance Team!

photo Presila Quimby, Ballet/Pointe Instructor

Presila began dancing at age 6. As a young person she studied with the Pennsylvania Ballet Company School in Philadelphia and then at North Carolina School of the Arts. She then went to Belgium to be a part of a wonderful total theater training school there called MUDRA. This was the school connected to the ballet company of Maurice Bejart, the Ballet of the Twentieth Century. After finishing school Presila danced with that company. On returning to the States, she began pursuing her acting and singing career in addition to her dancing. She's appeared locally at: The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Oregon Cabaret Theater, Camelot Theater and Next Stage at the James Collier Craterian Theater. Presila and her husband also perform music together whenever the opportunity arises.

Kristine has been a gymnast for 13 years. She received her extensive training at SOGA in Medford, OR.  This will be Kristine's 3rd year with Fusion and she is excited to share her love of Acro with all of her classes from Intro to Acro through Acro III.

photo Glena Rasmussen, Tap Instructor

It was with the heaviest of hearts that we learned that our beloved tap teacher, Glena had passed away.

She was an amazing teacher and friend to all of us at Fusion.

The dancers that were blessed to have her as their teacher loved her as well as learned from her.

The students that had yet to be in one of Glena's classes will be missing out on an amazing tap instructor as well.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Glena's family always.
